We did this so we would have enough money to avoid the minimum deposit fee. We also received a "we have to hold your check for X period of time," letter in the mail. Unless they know for a fact that the funds off of that check are bad funds or the checks/deposit were forged, then they actually have no right to keep the deposit. Report as inappropriate 3/17/2009
